I am a licensed psychologist with nearly 20 years of clinical experience, dedicated to providing evidence-based care to a diverse clientele. I earned my Doctorate in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, following the completion of my clinical internship at the University of Texas at Austin. My early career included serving as a psychologist at the University of Michigan, where I was involved in clinical services, outreach, training, and administrative leadership.

Since 2012, I have maintained a private practice in Washington, DC, while also providing consultation services. I am affiliated as a Trauma Community Provider with Georgetown University’s Counseling & Psychiatric Service (CAPS), where I collaborate with colleagues on trauma-informed care and support for students navigating complex challenges. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR Institute, Inc., and integrate this and other evidence-based modalities into my work.

Originally from Colombia and raised in the United States, I bring a bi-cultural perspective to my practice. My work ethic and style of practice has been shaped by many important personal and professional experiences, and I am grateful for them all. I currently live in Maryland and work and play in Washington, DC.
